True Blood: The Concert - World Premiere

Prepare your necks and jugular, because in the next edition of the International Film Music Festival ‘Ciudad de Úbeda’ Nathan Barr arrives for a world premiere concert of his music for the tv show True Blood. Barr will arrange it specifically for the concert. The composer himself will be one of the players, on a night that will provide some surprises.

Don´t be afraid though. Nathan Barr won´t suck your blood. On the contrary, he will inject you with a good dose of the wonderful music that has set people talking for the past two years.

The concert will take place in the Palacio de los Dávalos (known as ‘House of the Towers’) on a day and hour yet to be announced, although it will probably be on July 15, 2010 around 9:30PM.

Nathan Barr´s concert will be very special, this is the wish of the organisation. That´s why we suggest the attendants to come to the concert dressed up as vampires. The organisation seeks for elegance with gothic and period clothing, a style really well symbolized by the spanish artist Victoria Francés. ‘True Blood’ has become an exceptional cult show. Created by Alan Ball and produced by HBO, it is based on Charlaine Harris ‘The Southern Vampire Mysteries’ saga novels.

Among the awards the show has received we should mention the Golden Globe obtained by lead actress Anna Paquin in 2009 (Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama) and two nominations at the 2010 Golden Globes. Alan Ball, is a winner of an Oscar and a Golden Globe for the best original script ('American Beauty', 1999) and the person in charge of 'Six Feet Under', by which he has won an Emmy and five more nominations.
